We had 3 winners joining us for test drive from Cochin. Made a quick video with them when we stopped for lunch at Hamara restaurant.

Green route team has reached Coimbatore, the industrial hub in Tamil Nadu.

We're now half way through our journey. Day 13 out of 26. 2700kms done out of 4800+.

We've actually entered all states-Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu... We'll be re-entering Karnataka and Maharastra later.

We were flagged off from Kochi by Mayor Mrs Mercy Williams, by sharp 10AM. Kochi to Coimbatore is just about 190 kms, hence we reached Coimbatore by evening.

We had 3 winners who drove the Nanos for about 80kms. (details later) We stopped at Hamara Hotel for lunch. The drive was 4 lanes at times and 2 lanes otherwise. Roads (NH47) were fairly good and scenic. Rains gave us company all through the way, though we were lucky to have some sunshine during flag off and lunch break...

I drove for most of the distance and enjoyed the same. But this meant I missed clicking a few interesting snaps-particularly a scene wherein an elephant was being transported on a truck. With one tea break at Palakkad, we reached Coimbatore by about 5.30pm and handed over the cars to the officials at Tafe Access Ltd. That's it for today. Standby for more details

The 15,000-km country-wide Nano Superdrive reached here on Sunday, which started from Sanand on June 2, to celebrate the inauguration of the Tata Nano's new plant.

The ‘Superdrive'-branded Tata Nanos were absolute traffic-stoppers as they visited prominent landmarks such as Santa Cruz Church, St Francis Church and the Chinese fishing nets in the city.

Citizens at these landmarks greeted the people's car with immense excitement. Shoppers at the Oberon Mall enjoyed an up-close experience with the Nano and its unique features, besides games related to the car.

It rained heavily during most of the journey, but once we entered Kochi, the rain god was very considerate. We reached Concorde motors and after getting the cars washed and having some breakfast, we left for Cochin landmarks..
