Mr Manoj, General Manager, Automatrix, Mangalore gave statistics and customer response to Nano. He said over 155 Nanos have been delivered so far in Mangaluru.

Mangalore public had great time at Nano get together. The hall was smaller compared to Mumbai or Pune and was fully packed. Turn out was great and much higher than expected. Mangalore Tata Nano customer meet in pictures:

Caught up with Mangalore Big FM's RJ Avinash yesterday. We met near Kudroli temple where Big FM Winners were given an opportunity to test drive the Nano.
He said he missed an opportunity to drive the Nano as he forgot to bring his license...Listen to him in this video and watch for famous Kudroli temple in the backdrop...
A few years ago, Mangalore hardly had any malls. Today, there're at least half a dozen of them.
City Centre Mall, on KS Road near Hampankatta is one of the biggest in Mangalore and that's where we had a Nano on display the whole day.

City Centre Mall was inaugurated on 25th April 2010. (details at Raveesh Kumar's blog)
The Taj Gateway hotel in Mangaluru is home for Air India pilots who fly in and out of Mangalore. When we took the car to Gateway hotel, to be kept on Demo for the customer meet, we'd lots of pilots checking out the car.
In particular, Steve from Air India Express showed lots of interest in the car. I briefed him on the superdrive journey, about Nano and so on. He listened with interest and asked lots of questions

Steve was very eager to take the car for a spin but I'd to say No, as we were not authorized to give the car for test drives. Captain has an eye for details and he rightly pointed out that rear right wheel cap is missing!

I asked Steve if I can take a quick video bite of his opinion about Nano, but he was in a hurry-he'd a flight to catch.. Err.. he'd a flight to fly.... While Steve took off for his destination city last night, we're all set to take off for Cochin tomorrow.
Nanos rocked port town of Mangalore yesterday, locally known as Kudla. June means monsoon in South Canara and as expected it was raining all through the day, though the rains were not severe.
