We began Day 17 with lots of energy and enthusiasm. Team had got good rest, only 390 kms to be covered in the day, roads were superb and next destination was Bengaluru.

Transport Commissioner Mr M Rajaram (right most in below photo) flagged us off from Concorde Motors, Velachery main road in Chennai.He was visibly concerned about a road accident that had happened in Chennai the previous night, wherein 8 people of a wedding party died as the truck in which they were travelling toppled over, owing to drunken driving by the truck driver.

Mr Jairam discussed various precautionary measures with tata motors officials (such as discouraging trucks from carrying passengers instead of cargo, calling a meeting with truck owners association to discuss safety measures etc)

Day 3:Tarun Gora Flags off Green Route from Surat

On day 3, Tata Nano cavalry of Green Route was flagged off from AutoPoint, the Tata dealership at Surat.

The rally was flagged off by Auto Point owner Tarun Gora and MLA Nana Bhai...

Green Route Flagged off from Ahmedabad

The Green Route team of Tata Nano Superdrive was flagged off last evening from the premises of Universal Aspi Motors in Ahmedabad.

The cavalry includes 3 Tata Nano cars and a Sumo Grande. Key people in green route are Mr Siva from Showbiz, Jigar Shah, Customer Support Manager, Tata Motors, Shrinidhi Hande, the official blogger, with Majuddin Hussain, Bilal Sheik, Mohammad Toffir, Anwar Sheik, Mohammad Sajed Sheik and Yogesh as drivers and support crew.

On Day 1, the objective is to drive till Surat.

Tata Nano Superdrive: Just 1 day to go

Just one more day to go for the flag off. Tomorrow 3.30PM we'll be starting our 26 days mega journey from Sanand, Gujarath. Gujarath Chief Minister Mr Narendra Modi and Tata Motors Chief, Mr. Ratan Tata will flag off the event tomorrow.

2nd June also signifies the fact that Tata's dedicated production facility for Nano at Sanand is now operational and has started rolling out Tata Nanos. What this means to you and me is that the wait for our dream car, the Nano will now be much shorter. The long wait for Nano is going to be history, as more and more cars will be delivered to the showrooms near you.

Well, coming back to the superdrive road trip, covering 10 states, 36 cities and over 15000 kms within a short span of 26 days is going to be exciting. At each of these cities various events are planned, including photo shoots, meeting with Nano customers and so on. So be sure to visit us when we arrive at your city.
